Bow & Stern Thruster Services

Drawing upon our extensive experience with various manufacturers and types, our team of engineers and technicians specializes in conducting maintenance activities, inspections, and overhauls for bow and stern thrusters both in dry dock and afloat conditions. Our comprehensive services encompass:

Replacement of Blade Foot O-rings & Seals
Propeller shaft seals replacement
Drive shaft seals replacement
Major overhaul of the thruster in the workshop, including replacement of all bearings and seals
Overhaul & inspection of propeller hub
Replacement of the entire unit (commonly referred to as "Plug & Play")

Azimuth Thruster Services

Leveraging our broad expertise with various manufacturers, sizes, and types, our engineers and technicians are proficient in conducting various activities related to azimuth thrusters. Our scope of work is adaptable to the owner’s needs and includes:

Activities performed in dry dock:

General inspection of the unit, including backlash and tooth pattern verification, clutch wear tests, pressure tests on gravity lines, and exchanging of input shaft seals
Endoscopic inspection of upper gears
Comprehensive overhaul, encompassing the removal and transport of lower, intermediate, and upper parts to the workshop for replacement of bearings and seals, adjustment of tooth pattern and backlash, pressure tests, verification of worn parts, and machining if required. Installation, testing, and sea trials follow the overhaul.

Activities performed afloat:

Verification of backlash and tooth pattern on the upper partClutch wear and sleep testing.

Shaft Line, Controllable Pitch Propellers, Fixed Propellers Services

Loosening and dynamometric tightening of propeller blade bolts
